Alpha-Pinene

Alpha-pinene is the most widely occurring terpene in nature and produces the characteristic scent of pine forests. In cannabis, it acts as a bronchodilator, anti-inflammatory, and notably as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor — meaning it may counteract short-term memory impairment caused by THC.
